ETRN 1215 - Basic Electronics (semi-cond)

An introduction to solid-state devices, diodes, transistors, special purpose diode thyristors, FET devices, VDRs, and optical devices. Includes testing, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing using technical manuals. This course also covers half-wave, full-wave, bridge rectifier circuits, regulated/switched power supplies, amplifier fundamentals, theory of operation, and component testing/analyzing.
