Foundation and Advisory Committee
LDCC Foundation Scholarships are funds that do not have to be repaid. Scholarships are usually based on academic merit but can be based on a student’s interests, hobbies, religion, ethnicity, and/or financial need. The following scholarships will be awarded in the spring and/or summer for the upcoming fall academic year. Awarded amounts will be equally divided between fall and spring semesters, unless otherwise noted. Applications and more specific eligibility criteria are available on LDCC’s website at http://www.ladelta.edu/foundation.
Guidelines for applying for foundation scholarships:
The Foundation may award scholarships annually based on the following merits:
- All applicants must possess minimum 2.000 GPA on high school or college work (unless noted).
- Student is or will be enrolled in 12 credit hours (full-time) or minimum 6 credit hours (part time) at LDCC.
- Certain scholarships listed below may have additional criteria.
Procedures for applying for Foundation Scholarships:
- Applicant must submit all required information and documents by July 15 for Fall semester.
- Scholarship committee reviews applications.
- Foundation will notify applicants/recipients via mail, email or telephone.
- Foundation will notify Financial Aid Office and the respective departments of recipients.

Annual Scholarships
American Legion 2 Scholarship
The American Legion Post 2 Scholarship is a one-time scholarship of $1,000 which is to be applied to post-secondary educational expenses at Louisiana Delta Community College upon successful completion of all high school requirements (Ex: tuition, books, etc.). The scholarship is available for those students admitted and attending LDCC in the summer or fall following high school graduation training program. Entering freshman applicants must have at least a GPA of 2.75 or higher, be a graduating senior from Lincoln parish, and have participated in extracurricular activities at their high school. Complete the application, provide 3 letters of recommendation, one each from a) academic faculty; b) service/ volunteer activities coordinator; c) sponsor of extra-curricular activities and provide a statement of personal and educational goals and how your high school experience has helped prepare you to successfully achieve these goals (typed on a separate sheet of paper). The information must be scanned into a single pdf file and emailed to Tom Boniol at tommyontheroadagain@yahoo.com by April 1 of the application year.
Bankers Scholarship
Homeland, Caldwell, and Citizens banks created a scholarship opportunity for students that attend campuses in our rural communities, who receive financial aid (Pell), but their aid falls short of covering their expenses (i.e. textbooks, tuition and fees, and for other required class materials and equipment). The scholarship awards $300 for one semester. Each applicant must have and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation, and 2 references.
Black Male Initiative Scholarship
Applicants must be a B2MP member that is actively participating in the program, earned at least 15 hours, and be enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours per semester. The scholarship awards $1000 for the academic year with a distribution of $500 per semester. Each applicant must have and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, 1-page, double-spaced essay (topic will be selected by LDCC faculty mentors), and 2 references.
Como Charitable Foundation Annual Scholarship
Applicants must be a Business Technology major pursuing an Associate Degree. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation, and 2 references.
Franklin Medical Center Education Scholarship
Applicants must be registered in any major and remain full-time students at LDCC for the semester he/she received this scholarship. The scholarship recipient must maintain at least a minimum 2.5 GPA. The scholarship awards $4000 for the academic year with a distribution of $2000 per semester. Students in majors that are deemed by Franklin Medical Center as areas of critical need shall be given preferential selection. Applicants for the scholarship will be required to interview with a member of the Franklin Medical Center Selection Committee before being chosen. Applicants will be required to sign a contract, as required by law, to work for Franklin Medical Center for a period of three years following their graduation. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation, and 2 references.
Glenn B. Roscoe Scholarship
Applicants can be in any major pursuing an Associate Degree. A scholarship is available to graduates of high schools within the Louisiana Delta Community College’s service area. Applicants must be an outstanding golfer and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours or complete 24 hours for the year. Entering freshmen and continuing college students must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher. The scholarship awards $250 per semester. A maximum of two years is allowed for use of the scholarship. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation, and 2 references.
Goldman Equipment Tuition Assistance Partnership
This tuition assistance opportunity is for students enrolled in the Diesel Powered Equipment Technology program at LDCC and pursuing a career in Diesel Mechanics. Students must agree to attend classes daily, maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA in the program, and be employed by Goldman Equipment (John Deere dealer) as a part-time employee. Other requirements include the following: submit a Goldman Equipment employee application, in-person interview, signed contract agreeing to company terms. Applicants must also submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay on “Why a Career in Diesel Mechanics”, and two references.
Graphic Packaging International Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled in Process Technology, Industrial Instrumentation, or Industrial Maintenance Technology curriculum. The scholarship awards $2500 for the academic year with a distribution of $1250 per semester. The applicant must have at least a GPA of 2.5 or higher and maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation, and 2 references.
Horace M. Downs Education Scholarship
Applicants must be registered in any major and remain full-time students at LDCC for the semester he/she received this scholarship. The scholarship recipient must maintain at least a minimum 2.0 GPA. The scholarship awards $800 for the academic year with a distribution of $400 per semester. Students that do not have other scholarships will be given preferential selection. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation, and 2 references.
Poulos Brothers Scholarship
Applicants must be a resident of Caldwell, Franklin, Richland, or Tensas parishes. The scholarship recipient must maintain at least a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to a student who plans to attend the Winnsboro campus. The scholarship awards $1000 for the academic year with a distribution of $500 per semester. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation, and 2 references.
Staci R. Aucoin Memorial Scholarship
Applicants can be in any major pursuing an Associate Degree. The scholarship is available to female graduates of West Monroe High School with a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher. Must have participated in one of the following sports during senior year: basketball, 400-meter individual, or member of 4 x 400-meter relay team. The scholarship awards $1000 for the academic year with a distribution of $500 per semester.
***If there is not an applicant that meets the criteria above, the criteria can be changed to allow applicants that are female and entering clinicals in a Nursing Major. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation and 2 references.
The Gene Haas Scholarship
The Gene Haas Foundation scholarship is to be awarded to students who are currently enrolled or will be enrolling in a CNC Technologist training program. Entering freshman applicant must have at least a GPA of 2.5 or higher and maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher. The scholarship awards $1000 for the academic year with a distribution of $500 per semester. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation, 2 references and present a financial need.
Tom Scott, Jr. Scholarship
Applicants must be full-time students, with a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. This scholarship will be awarded annually with disbursement in the fall and spring and pays one half of the tuition, fees and for necessary textbooks, and any other required class materials and equipment. Recipients making satisfactory progress toward a degree may be considered to extend scholarship after the first year. Applicants must show financial need. Pell Grant recipients are not eligible for this scholarship. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation and 2 references. The recipients of this scholarship will agree to periodically update the donors on their academic progress before graduation and their career progress after graduation.
Gary Cooper Memorial Scholarship in Welding
The Dubach Legends Foundation created the Gary Cooper Memorial Scholarship in Welding to keep the memory and benevolent spirit of Gary Cooper and help individuals better their chances in life, and in order to create a valuable Louisiana workforce. This scholarship is be awarded to full-time students who are currently enrolled or will be enrolling in the Welding program at the Ruston, Louisiana campus. Applicant must have at least a GPA of 2.0 or higher and maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher. The scholarship awards $500 for the academic year with a distribution of $250 per semester and can be used to assist in paying tuition, fees, and for the necessary textbooks and other required class materials and equipment. Students that do not receive TOPS and have no other scholarships will be given preferential selection. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, 2-page essay describing their goals, commitment to a career after graduation, and how they plan to give back to their community, 2 letters of recommendation and present a statement of financial need.
Endowed Scholarships (Not Awarded Annually)
Curt Eysink Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled at LDCC and a Louisiana resident, a full-time student in Process Technology, Industrial Instrumentation, Practical Nursing, Associate Degree Nursing, Paramedic or LA Transfer Degree in Computer Science. Each applicant must have and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation, 2 references and present a financial need.
Rebel Lunch Bunch Endowed Scholarship
Applicants must be a West Monroe High School graduating senior in good standing and receiving a Jump Start Diploma. The recipient must be a full-time student and provide a letter of recommendation from a Jump Start Instructor. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation and 2 references.
Endowed Scholarships (Board of Regents)
The LDCC Foundation offers endowed scholarships in partnership with the State of Louisiana Board of Regents.
Brookshire’s and Super 1 Endowed Scholarship
Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student for the semester they received the scholarship at LDCC and a Louisiana resident majoring in an Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology program. The scholarship can only be used to fund the cost of tuition, fees, and/or training. Each applicant must have and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation and 2 references.
E. Edwards Barham Endowed Scholarship
Applicants must be enrolled at LDCC and a Louisiana resident in any program of study. The scholarship can only be used to fund the cost of tuition, fees, and/or training. After graduation, students must be willing to represent LDCC with an interview/speaking engagement after graduation or certificate completion. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation and 2 references.
Give Where We Live in Practical Nursing Endowed Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled at LDCC and a Louisiana resident, a full-time student in Practical Nursing. Entering freshman applicant must have at least a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation, 2 references and present a financial need.
Graphic Packaging International Endowed Scholarship in Process Technology
Applicant must be enrolled at LDCC and a Louisiana resident, a full-time student pursuing Process Technology. Entering freshman applicant must have at least a GPA of 2.5 or higher and maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher, with a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation, 2 references and present a financial need.
LDCC Allied Health in Registered Nursing Endowed Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled at LDCC and a Louisiana resident, a full-time student, and declare a major in the Associate of Nursing (ASN) program. Entering freshman applicant must have at least a GPA of 2.5 or higher and maintain a 2.5GPA or higher. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation, 2 references and present a financial need.
Louisiana Endowed Scholarship in Construction Pathway Training Programs
Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student for the semester they received the scholarship at LDCC and a Louisiana resident majoring in a Construction pathway program. The scholarship can only be used to fund the cost of tuition, fees, and/or training. Each applicant must have and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation and 2 references.
Barbara R. and Rickey L. Jones Health Science Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled at LDCC and a Louisiana resident, a full-time student, and declare a major an Allied Health program. Entering freshman applicant must have at least a GPA of 3.0 or higher and maintain a 2.75 GPA or higher. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 1-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation, 2 references and present a financial need.
Morehouse Community Coalition Endowed Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled at LDCC and a resident of Louisiana and a high school graduate of Morehouse Parish with a preference for female applicants, a full-time student, and declare a major in Allied Health, Education, or Law Enforcement. Entering freshman applicant must have at least a GPA of 3.0 or higher and maintain a 2.75 GPA or higher. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 1-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation, 2 references and present a financial need.
Sol Rosenburg Family Memorial Scholarship in Welding
The family of Sol Rosenburg created the Sol Rosenburg Family Memorial Scholarship in Welding to keep the memory and patriotic spirit of Sol Rosenburg and help individuals better their chances in life, and in order to create a valuable Louisiana workforce. Applicant must be enrolled at LDCC and a resident of Louisiana and a high school graduate, a full-time student, and declare a major in Welding. Entering freshman applicant must have at least a GPA of 3.0 or higher and maintain a 2.75 GPA or higher. Applicants must submit an LDCC application, a 2-page essay describing their goals and commitment to a career after graduation, 2 references and present a financial need.
Other Scholarships
Foundation Book Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to recipients to assist in the cost of textbooks. The applicant must be currently enrolled at LDCC in good academic standing pursuing a degree. Applicants must submit an LDCC application (no essay or letters of reference required).
Jobs for America’s Graduates - Louisiana
As a JAG-LA graduate, you are eligible for a $500 one-time scholarship. The scholarship will be valid for the fall semester following high school graduation only. Contact your JAG Advisor for details.
Louisiana FFA Association
As a Louisiana FFA graduate, you are eligible for a $500 one-time scholarship. Louisiana FFA LDE and CDE Champions are eligible for an additional $1000.00 scholarship. The scholarship will be valid for the fall semester following high school graduation only. Contact your Chapter Advisor for details.
The Little Bundle Supermom Scholarship
The Little Bundle Supermom Scholarship will be awarded to one college winner and one high school winner every 6 months. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the requirements. To be eligible, applicants must be a graduating high school senior in their final semester who has been accepted to LDCC or must be currently enrolled at LDCC. Applicants must be a US citizen or permanent legal resident and be a single mother, child of a single mother, or closely impacted by a single mother. All fields of study and GPAs will be considered.
