ARTS 203 - Ceramics, Handbuilding This is an introduction to the tools and techniques used when creating ceramic forms by means of handbuilding. Students will gain knowledge pertaining to the characteristics of clay and various building techniques, the application of ceramic glazes, firing procedures, and appropriate terminology. This course will also include an introduction to a variety of ceramic artists and styles intended to encourage and inspire.
