MLTS 220 - Virology and Parasitology

This course will introduce students to clinically significant bacteria, fungi, viruses, protozoans, and helminths as they relate to pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical procedures in a clinical microbiology setting. Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of MLTS 100, 101, MATH 110 or MATH 117, ENGL 101, CHEM 101, BIOL 201, BIOL 203, BIOL 210 and BIOL 211 with a grade of a C or better. Co-requisite(s): Concurrent enrollment in or successful completion of MLTS 221.
